Aluminum Foil
Aluminum foil and pie pans are 100% recyclable, just NOT through your curbside recycling program. The reason for this is because the process of recycling aluminum is to melt it down first. Aluminum foil and pie pans would burn up at the same temperature required to melt aluminum cans.

There are many outlets to recycle aluminum foil and pie pans in your area. Just search "Scrap Metal" for a list of places that will accept your aluminum.
5 Ways To Reuse Clean Aluminum Foil
If you have leftover aluminum foil that is clean and not covered with food there are a number of things you can do with it:
-
Layer about seven pieces of foil and cut through them with scissors that are dull. The foil will sharpen the scissors again.
-
Use a ball of spare foil to clean baked-on pots and pans. It works just as well as steel wool.
-
Foil makes great gift wrapping in a pinch.
-
Think about how many children's dress-up costumes can be created with foil. From robots to martians to angels.
-
Use a double-thickness of foil as a piping bag when decorating cakes.
